Past Activities

The Lacsons, over the years, have worked in several specific areas.  They are as follows:

• Education – from Kindergarten to the 12th Grade (Junior College Level).  This has been and is extended to all segments of society – without bias or prejudice, regardless of caste, class or creed.  Children of stone masons, common laborers, the salaried class, business men, and also those of the “upper class” along with international students have all been blessed.  Our children are doing well.  They come to their Alma Mater frequently, to voice their gratitude and to encourage future generations.
• Community:  Being a part of one’s community brings involvement in its life.  We have been able to serve in the following ways:

1. Rehabilitated at least 50 widows.
2. Helped 20 – 30 single parents and their children.
3. Helped feed and educate over 100 orphans.
4. Helped educate thousands of children from the weaker segments of society.
5. Gave clothing and food to numerous children and adults.
6. Engaged in benevolence as and when needed.
7. Been there to console, counsel and encourage children and their families, from all walks of life.
8. Worked with numerous children from broken homes, bringing “wholeness” to their lives.
9. Worked with numerous abused children (sexual, mental and physical).
10. Extended medical aid to numerous children and adults non-related to the school.
11. Gave generously to Kargil and to victims of natural disasters.
12. Helped alleviate financial suffering of the community because of the collapse of the tea industry.
13. Gave free private tuition (even late into the night and holidays) to help examination going children.
14. Gave special nutritional food to children participating in athletic meets, to supplement their own, near starvation diets.
15. Been there to listen (over the phone and in person) to the dreams of children and to help them on their individual roads to success.
16. Helped and encouraged teachers to expand their own horizons.  Many now are in positions of authority and leadership (won accolades too) in other leading institutions.

And the list goes on.  Suffice it to say that we are enjoined to “Love God, with all our Hearts, Souls, Minds and Strength and our Neighbors as ourselves.”

Current Activities

1. Outreach to 250 + villages.
2. Visited over 2.5 lakh homes.
3. Subsidized fees for over 900 + children – up to 50%.
4. Gave exposure and special education in English, Spoken English, Music, Sports, etc.
5. Worked with and employed handicapped.
6. Offered Medical assistance, exposure and training.
7. Taught Hygiene and Sanitation practices to 1000 +.
8. Bused 900 + (Free Transportation).
9. Worked with and employed many from “lower” backgrounds.
10. Educated 1000 + children as well as adults.
11. Assisted and gave employment to widows.
12. Assisted and gave employment to single parents.
13. Educated children of widows and single parents.
14. Assisted and educated several hundred underprivileged “girl” children. 
15. Provided books and uniforms to several hundred at subsidized rates.
16. Continual expansion of outreach services.

And a whole lot more!  We have served 1000 + more in many intangible ways.
